Just found your blog (through a Love That Max linkup, I believe) and I’ve really enjoyed reading your posts. I have a 7 year old brother with severe CP, and because we live in a third world country have to carry him around pretty much wherever we go. We go through most of your listed questions every time we think of going to town! :) Our main problem taking him to town is he never wants the car to stop. Or he thinks we’re going to town (even though we’ve told him we’re not) and we’re actually just getting the tires aired up or something. Thanks again for your posts…they’re so refreshing!

I know consistency and insistency are exactly what Bethany needs! If you give her an inch she tends to take a mile!

My sister started having seizures at 17 months–so around the same age. Alyssa also went on the Ketogenic Diet for two years! I hope it is working for your son. :)

We didn’t recognize that what was happening to him at age 2 was seizures because (like you mentioned in your post), I always pictured seizures as grand mal seizures. My son has the atonic type; he takes seizure medication and is also on the modified Ketogenic Diet (and we have also been hearing a lot about medical marijuana). He also has a younger sister who cares so much for him, just as I can tell you care so much about your sister!
